Fundraising

Each year we will have several opportunities to participate in fundraising. Most of these funds will be used to defray a student’s cost for the choir festival/trip; however, an active and growing department requires additional funding for needs such as professional instrumentalists, additional equipment, professional choreographers and clinicians. Students will not be required to participate in fundraising but are encouraged to do so. For each fundraiser offered, the first two units of profit will go into the choir activity account and each unit after will go into the student’s personal trip account. Should a student’s account exceed the necessary funds for their trip, those funds will go into the activity account as they were earned in the name of the choir.

 

INDIVIDUAL ACCOUNT GUIDELINES

  1. Profits gained from individual fund-raising projects are placed in the student activity accounts in the student’s name.
  2. A student’s individual account is non-transferable to another student (does not apply to siblings).
  3. If a choir student drops from the choir program, moves, or is removed from the choir program, all fundraising monies in his/her individual account revert to the general account, SINCE THE MONEY WAS RAISED IN THE NAME OF THE CHOIR.
  4. CASH DEPOSITS (not from fund-raising profits) are refundable, provided they are requested in writing before published trip refund deadlines.
